IELTS preparation: your practice plan

Choose a realistic preparation goal. Keep a record of practice, feedback and recurring mistakes. Use current official exam-provider materials to verify task types, scoring and test arrangements.

1. Begin with your goal

Write your intended test date, available weekly study time, current strengths and areas needing feedback. Ask your instructor what evidence will help you track progress. Avoid treating one practice result as a reliable score prediction.

2. Build a balanced weekly routine

3. Review the week

Which mistakes repeated? Which strategy helped? Select one change for next week. Share a short sample with your teacher when feedback is available.

4. Use official preparation materials
